Features and Benefits of Gas Boosters, Air Amplifiers and Air-Driven Liquid Pumps
Types of Boosters, Amplifiers & Pumps
Gas Boosters
We have single or double-acting and two-stage models, as well as double air head, available in single and two-stage boosters. Double-acting units utilize the inlet gas pressure to assist in compressing the gas. The exhausted drive air is used as an effective cooling media to lessen the heat from compression. Gas boosters are intrinsically safe because electrical power is not required. There are a variety of materials, seal options, and features that enable our high-pressure gas boosters to meet the needs of most compressed gases, including oxygen, helium, hydrogen, nitrogen, and argon. Gas boosters can be paired up in series or parallel to further increase their pressure and volume capabilities. Pressures to 36,000 psi for most gases and 5,000 psi for oxygen, with no electrical power required. The use of high-pressure seal lubrication is not required, and the boosters are contamination free. A variety of pressure and compression ratios are available.
Air Amplifiers
Air amplifiers are stocked domestically in a variety of standard designs and offers, with many options for customization. Key features include air pressures ranging from 30 psi to 4,350 psi, the ability to run without electrical power, lightweight and compact design, easy to install and operate, single or double-acting, stall at target pressure and automatically restart when pressure drops 1%, seals made from PTFE, and some models have an unregulated pilot air connection for better control and easy restarting. These units are compact, lightweight, and can be conveniently moved from machine to machine, as needed, in helping to boost the air pressure and efficiency of pneumatic tools and machinery. Our air amplifiers are competitively priced and economical to operate because they don’t use electricity. These units are a perfect solution for an overburdened air system.
Air-Driven Liquid Pumps
These pumps get their power from a compressed air source and combine positive displacement with the capability to hold pressure for long periods of time. A variety of material and seal options allow almost any fluid to be pressurized. These pumps are rugged and rebuildable and can tolerate all installation positions and even some of the most extreme environments. Features include discharge pressures from 60–101,000 psi, temperature range from -20°F to 140°F, drive air pressures range from 1–10 bar, standard and optional seals available, pilot air control for remote operation standard on many models, external spool valve for quick maintenance on most models and safe for hazardous areas (no electrical power required).
